Hi again guys, as all of you who are entering should know, tonight is your last night before the prize is drawn and the winner is declared tomorrow.

If I could get everyone who is submitting a *real* entry to send in your final draught tomorrow (the 1st of August) before 11:00am.

Please include, somewhere in the email / on the page, some contact details (Phone/email etc etc) that we can reach you on, if you win :-)
The winner will be posted on here also, and the site should be up and running by tomorrow night with the new design.

I'd like to say thanks to everyone for their hard work, the competition is tight and unfortunately only one person can win.

Good luck!
(Entries should be sent to php@optusnet.com.au or bj@rampage.com.au - they will both be checked randomly through the night / in the morning if you need to contact me, or my msn is 'teq@optusnet.com.au')

Hi brett, im the designer of the Qgl site and i was wondering that because i did such a good job, then you could just see the site and fall @ my feet and start kissing them while handing me that 133t computer..

just a thought

nah, Bill Gates doesn't act like a complete retard. and he probably doesn't give 2 s***s about Queensland Gamers. And he has better things to do with his time than to troll forums

Cold-Steel, wtf did you make that page for? 1600x1200??? I'm only in 1024x768, and it sucked that I had to scroll around horizontally and vertically for that >:(

Pages are sposed to be made with lowest common denominator in mind (usually 800x600) =(

i think 1024x768 is the standard nowadays... unless it's a 'gaming' related site, in which case i'd make it in a higher resolution, because most people who are visiting the site are fairly enthusiastic about their hardware, and thus would be able to view it fairly close to the mark.

800x600 is the industry standers, 1024x768 is the highest acceptable resolution IMO.

I personally use 1800x1200@85hz on my 19" monitor, but that's just me..

I quickly whiped this up from my current clan site. I would be prepared to use the first design for rampage as my clan site if they like this one.

Unfortunantly because i have no time left tonight i cant get rid of the iframes and s*** and I cant change the colours and make it lighter, make it work in all resolutions rather then 1024 and stuff...

Any way if they like it i can fix ALL of that tomorrow night...

so here are my submissions:

http://wv.auscstrike.com/rampage2/ (will fix up if liked)

http://wv.auscstrike.com/cafe/ (pretty much done, up to teq to do the php)

Yeah, they suck hey. Means you have to click back on the website you were at and then click more icons to get back to where you were. A Divx site I was at recently had the same problem.

actually i dont know i might change my mind i finished this design: http://wv.auscstrike.com/gaming/ but i really think that that is my clans website. It would be unfair on my clan and unfair on myself losing that design, unless of course I could do all the updates php etc.

I will keep my original design which was designed specifically for rampage. The new design probably wouldent win any way because it is to dark. On my first design I made it light for the reason that teq wanted a nice warm, welcoming site (not dark unfriendly colours).

Sorry to stuff u around, my final design is in fact: http://wv.auscstrike.com/cafe/

It appears we're having technical problems with our mail server (*curses at sendmail*), so try use php@optusnet.com.au instead of bj@rampage.com.au..

I sent it to all ur emails and in the end added in both designs

http://wv.auscstrike.com/cafe/ (personally i think this one is a better design for a gaming cafe and it is easyer to read)

http://wv.auscstrike.com/gaming/
(whipped it up from clan site, if u really like it i may arrange something so i make my clan a new site but it is only if u really really like it :P

That site is nice.... but poor/ugly on the eyes if you ask me. that colour == strain.

BUT that's my OPINION, if you wanna flame me for expressing my OPINION, you can go get f?!@$&^!$

=D.. overall, as long as you guys are happy with it, its cool.. like I said, nice site, just don't like the colour.

Nope, it's good constructive critisism, we will take that into consideration when we're finalising the design plans.

Thanks.

hehe that is why although i tryed to make the rampage sort of logo colours black and green in the first one with a bit of blue it didnt look that good but then when i dide the second one it looked niceee but i think dedges has the edge from his graphics where he has all the characters.

One thing dedge., could something else be down with the beastie and the CT on the top title bar? I dunno what, experiment, just thought a blue filter over them AND the background looked kinda odd when I looked at it twice... still nice, but perhaps experiment? needs something to break up the colour maybe? or just have them in colour or something? I dunno! :)

hehe thanks...
u mean

http://wv.auscstrike.com

yea
the reason why that rox all over any other designs i have done is because i know exactly what i want, teq was to secretive he said, it is completly up to the designer so that kinda left me in the dark thinking that he wanted a simple site etc. meh it is over now, dedge's design rox to and there is always gunna be another chance some where...
