For those that plat GTA Online on PC you'll no doubt be aware that the load times in Rockstar's hit are pretty far from "quick". Recently a Github user tostercx, or t0st, discovered a way to increase the game's loading times by up to 70 percent after figuring out that there was a CPU bottleneck. And now Rockstar is going to make the update official. In an official statement the studio said, "After a thorough investigation, we can confirm that player t0st did, in fact, reveal an aspect of the game code related to load times for the PC version of GTA Online that could be improved. As a result of these investigations, we have made some changes that will be implemented in a forthcoming title update." And in a very cool move have rewarded t0st with $10,000 in real-world money via the Rockstar Bug Bounty. After creating the fix, t0st also posted the results via Github. |

This is an amazing story; if you are interested in software development or reverse engineering I highly recommend reading t0st's article about how he found the problem. |
