I've personally harped on this for years. Souls-like games and I are like Jimmy and misunderstandings. I'll play almost anything on the hardest setting, but there's a design language to the Souls-likes; a code I can't wrap my head around, or don't care to. Thankfully, our Joaby-like, Joab, can render Souls language interpretation like he's Dr Zahi Hawass and in this PS5 review of the remastered Demon's Souls, he interprets like onebro on a single mission. Here's a snippet from his lore of the land: I think it's awesome that we get to play Demon's Souls in all its remastered, gorgeous glory, and it serves as a wonderful reminder that FromSoftware is more than capable of holding itself to the same exacting standards it expects from its players — that it too can learn from its mistakes. And Bluepoint Games has done a wonderful job of fastidiously restoring the game, flaws and all, so that a new generation of players can not only experience it, but also have something that shows off the power of their shiny new consoles.Click here for our in-depth Demon's Souls PS5 Remaster review. |

It's a gorgeous showcase of the power of the PS5, but I wouldn't be afraid of leaning on a guide if I were you. Coming at DeS with a deep background in the other Souls games can be a little rough. You'll still love it though. |
