Content adoption around 8K might not seem on a ubiquitous rise right now, but if you consider how quickly everything shifted from 1080p to 4K, and factor in Moore's Law, well, it should be eight times as fast as the 4K revolution. The Q950T QLED 8K is the marquee television in Samsung’s 2020 range and is the ultimate big-screen that can deliver content that is breathtakingly real, it feels like you could step right into it.

This picture quality doesn’t mean Aussies have to compromise and have a bulky screen, as the Q950T 8K is thinner than 5 cent.

We’re committed to delivering products that provide experiences that enhance our lifestyle in and around the home. Entertainment through TV, movies, streaming, gaming and music.” said Hass Mahdi, Director of AV, Samsung Electronics Australia.

Is there literally any 8k content available to watch on these things?

There are 8K videos on You Tube and you could probably play KOTOR II at 8K but apparently the AI upscaling on these things is impressive and the HDMI 2.1 standard lets you game at 4K at 120 FPS when the Ampere cards come around.
