Three down, seven more to go. Today we might have controversially bucked popular trend in our eighth entry, but we stand steadfastly by the list and each game's position. Almost as if we've set up a bonfire and worked through it all, with true deliberation. The caveat not being that at our bonfires, the world doesn't reset. Sass aside, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is very good. But we love it for different reasons than a lot of the die-hards do. Here's what we thought in brief: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is unique in that it’s Hidetaka loosening his concepts, but tightening his ninja belt. It’s less ‘loose’ than his other opi (SP?), and narrative is actually its hook, but it is in a good way and we’d be keen to explore the [potentially] expanded lore on plate here. Just expect challenge and remember to pay attention to both your light and heavy inputs, because the frame data will get you. What will come in at number seven tomorrow? Cick here for our full Top 10 Best Games of 2019. |
