Wrestlemania week is creeping up, and usually there's a lot of great things that happen around it. One such event was something we mentioned awhile ago where fans could go into the chance to face off against AJ Styles through WWE 2K19 and one Aussie is in that actual running.

2K Australia has proudly revealed that one David Hoey from Sydney, who you know grew up with his last name as his Aussie-entitled nickname, has made it through alongside Gregory Davis from Jacksonville, Florida, Stephan T. Benson from Philadelphia and Roman Droßard from Pfalzfeld, Germany. There's quite a bit to this but includes a few big names and takes place on the Saturday in the US, the day before Wrestelmania, but is Sunday for us. Here's the official breakdown:
Four finalists from around the world will compete – with support from WWE Superstar coaches Kofi Kingston and Big E of The New Day; Paige; Ember Moon and The Miz – for the opportunity to challenge WWE 2K19 cover Superstar AJ Styles to a one-on-one match in the video game with $1 million on the line.

All WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge activities will be hosted throughout the day on Saturday, April 6, including:
  • Semifinals: Taking place at WrestleMania Axxess at approximately 4am AEST, with competition highlights on UpUpDownDown, WWE Superstar Xavier Woods’ preeminent gaming YouTube channel, as well as WWE 2K on Facebook and Twitter;
  • Finale: Taking place during the NXT® TakeOver Pre-Show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY and streamed at approximately 9.30am AEST on the following digital platforms:
    • FOX Sports digital platforms, including FOXSports.com, FOX Sports App, Caffeine TV, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube;
    • WWE Network and WWE on YouTube;
    • WWE 2K on Facebook and Twitter;
    • The finale can also be watched on-demand on USANetwork.com.
    “Embracing ‘Never Say Never’ – the campaign theme for WWE 2K19 – is exactly what these finalists have accomplished in the virtual ring,” said AJ Styles. “My journey as the game’s cover Superstar has been absolutely incredible, and it’s all now leading to an epic showdown at Barclays Centre, with the WWE Universe able to watch all the action in a variety of ways. The WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge finale will be nothing short of phenomenal.”

    “As WrestleMania approaches, we can’t wait to watch our four finalists compete – with the help of their WWE coaches – for incredible bragging rights and a potential match against AJ Styles on a massive worldwide stage,” said Chris Snyder, Vice President of Marketing for 2K. “The WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge is sure to deliver an authentic and action-packed experience; get ready for the ultimate showdown in person or through our offerings with Fox Sports, NBCUniversal, WWE and 2K-owned channels!”
All we've got left at all is "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie... go Hoey!", we're rooting for you, mate.

Here's what Hoey had to say if he managed to pull off the feat:

"If I win the MDC: I would take a few weeks to process it all and try not to spend a cent. Then I would buy front row seats to every remaining WWE pay-per-view of 2019, pay off my university fees, put a deposit on a house, film a movie, pre-order WWE 2K20 and then put the rest towards a good cause."

Shame you're a Braun Strowman fan, but we can look past that. Bring home those Dollerydoos.
