Announced earlier today (or yesterday, depending on the time you read this) at CES 2019, with a release date of next week, the new GeForce RTX 2060 represents the most affordable entry in the RTX line-up yet. As per the pre-release notes we received it was touted as full-HD or 1080p alternative to the 4K proposition of the 2080 and 1440p goals of the 2070. Ray tracing included! As it turns out though, the RTX 2060 is comparable performance-wise to the more recent GTX 1070 Ti. Which means impressive results even at 1440p. A new card that more than excels at what it has clearly set out to do – provide a next-gen like experience and leap at the sub-4K resolutions of 1080p and 1440p.
