Another new reveal to come out of PAX was the first public showing of actual gameplay action from Dungeon Siege 3. Previously we'd only been offered a teaser trailer, some concept art then a few rather nondescript screenshots, so check out this in-game trailer for the first substantial look at Obsidian Entertainments upcoming sequel to this proven action-RPG franchise.
Torn asunder, the delicate balance of power between the kingdom of Ehb's powerful factions has fallen apart. As one of the few remaining members of the disgraced protectors of the land, the 10th Legion, it is up to you to rebuild the once great Legion and stop Ehb from falling into darkness. Joined by a group of unique companions, you will travel through the striking land of Ehb defeating all manner of villains and beasts through a combination of heroic abilities, screen shaking magic and fearsome weapons.
Dungeon Seige III is currently in development for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, a release date target has yet to be confirmed.

Ye it was chuggy during the slow mo parts, seems they did slow mo with a low frame rate to begin with... but the normal speed stuff was awesome! Could not help but compare it to D3, but I'll wait to see a little more.

why not both?

ds3 will probably be out long before d3 gets released.

D3 is apparently not going to be released until mid 2012. In saying this;

That is a very loose statement for something which clearly looks semi-ready.

.Yeah it was annoying because I wasted a fair bit of time investigating it because I initially thought it was an issue with our stream encoder.

But the original mov (that you can download) has the same issue and runs at 29.97FPS constant frame rate. My guess would that it was converted incorrectly from a variable frame rate quicktime vid somewhere along the PR path - or you could be right about their vid capturing/rendering process.

Either way, not my fault! :)

So you're going to boycott the game because they're actually spending a decent amount of time on it and polishing it/balancing it/making it really good? Nice.
