Some disturbing news just passed onto me..

http://www.abc.net.au/lateline/content/2008/s2308300.htm

Former priest from our school..This is not cool one bit!

The name sounds a little familiar but i just can't picture him, unless he left or never walked around the school grounds while i was there..

Never heard of him before.

There is a monastery or what ever it's called, on the college grounds, where you never saw 90% of the priests that lived there.

Never heard of him, f*** what is it about villanova?! There was another one years and years ago also. Forget his name, but it was in the villavoice (yearly newsletter RE villa/villanovans for you other people)

I am glad all I had to worry about was paying out on the teachers instead of being s*** scared of them.

It wouldn't be a boys high school without these guys. Pretty much a part of history as much as rugby and rowing.

god bless em

I remember the name but I think it was only from announcements, for some reason I recall Druery saying that name more than once but I don't know if he was there in the 90s. I think this is the same one Fireblood. It wasn't in Vilavoice, I got a letter from Villanova that all old boys would have gotten asking anyone to come forward and talk to the school and the police about whoever the letter was about and any body else. It was actually a well thought out letter in terms of that it wasn't actually trying to squash anything but trying to get anyone affected to come forward.

Here's some interesting reading about the guy making the allegations...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/2221483.stm

Matthew Pedrazzini, 35, used his position as chief swimming coach with Birmingham City Council to "groom" the 15-year-old for his own "sexual gratification".

Pedrazzini, who had been abused as a boy in Australia, was "deeply ashamed" of his actions.

Reading some of the articles, it seems that they let some of the priests stay as part of the church after they get out of jail for peadophile stuff. Why the f*** are they allowed back in?

Surely if they wanted to make it look like they dont condone this sort of thing they wouldnt allow them back in.

Then they had objections to all the people protesting...

"The pope is wrong, Put condom on"

Next thing they will want him to apologise for the Spanish Inquisitions mistreatement of witches and all that burning at the stake business.

Ah well no proof, then you can't prove nothing. It is like those "Ohhh I remember it when.. but maybe it happened on this day."

My opinion of Villanova staff:

1)I would not be surprised if Morahan turns out to be a paedophile - there is something about the way he looks that just says "come here, little boy"

2)Keith Druery - surprised he hasn't been charged with assault. I remember seeing him grab Paul Downey (wonder where that guy ended up) and thrash him around

3)Kath Neehouse - Lesbian. Last seen on a motorised scooter due to being so obese she cant walk.

4) Col Grant - Last seen strapping himself to a tree inside an old growth forest

5) Mr Weier - still in counselling re "beaker"

Anyway, speaking of villanova, where has everyone ended up ?

Particular people who i think would have ended up in jail
- Chris Liu
- Raymond Miller
- Michael Davies (however he is a "dj" these days, sigh)
- David Macgregor
- Daniel Viddler
- James Brockett
- Alex Doyle
- Daniel Franks (is now a park ranger i hear)
- Adrian Stanley (went to iraq)

Yep, Kim Buchanan. The sad thing about that is that he had been caught at BBC 15 years earlier and they just swept it under the carpet and gave him a glowing reference to head off to IGS as a Personal Development Officer to touch up kiddies for another 15 years before getting caught.

Why do u say that? He is actually a really nice guy, albeit a little unusual at times.

He's getting married next year to a friend of mine.

Raymond's mother was a retard.

Ended up prank calling her while i was in year 10 (she was a teacher for home ec or something) and they made me (and maybe fireblood - cant remember) apologise to her.

Silly whore

also i remember another teacher who lived across the road and he would take boys back to his house to get the cane - good times

Ahhh young and stupid :)

I think we did have to apologise, but whatever, I'm sure Ray & Mum has gotten over it and moved on, as we all have :)

I was 02.

Just thought I'd throw this in - I got a letter from Villa ages ago (like 6 months) talking about some priest who had been accused of some sort of kiddie fiddling. Is this the same one?

Iona, LOL!

Mate I work in Wynnum and the amount of absolutely retarded people I have to deal with on a daily basis is phenomenal, and these are people in business who know how to make a reasonable living, I'd hate to think about the lowest common denominator :|

I lived in Capalaba most of my life and never really noticed anything too bad except for the smell. I've seen more strange things since living closer to the city (Coorparoo, Mount Gravatt etc).

One example would be a guy with downs deciding to change his underwear at a bus stop with about 100 cars around during peak hour on Annerly Road. The look on the womans face in my rear view mirror was priceless :)
