I finally got on a good connection and managed to watch it. Obviously not much to see, but looks cool.

That said, do they really deserve another chance with this brand after Terminator 3?

Well, Sarah Connor Chronicles is good. Watching that has given me a taste for more Terminator, so I'm glad they're doing it.

bah i just read something about john that would be really f***en terrible if its the movie.

the spoiler/rumour going around is that Spoiler:
john gets killed in the movie and then they make a terminator in his image to carry on with the war

ravn0s, actually I think that is awesome, it explains how John becomes such a legend and how he can strike effectively against skynet.

It also introduces another level of the philosophical ponderings of the voiceovers, about how John tried his whole life to stay alive to win the war, and whether that was really the grand plan, etc.. you know those voiceovers where they say 'fate' a lot.

Good guy terminators have been pretty standard since T2 anyway.

Christian Bale steps in to save yet another movie franchise. He's like the Jesus of cinema. If he can do for Terminator what he did for Batman, I'm excited.

I also think John dying and being replaced with a Terminator COULD be good, if done right. It adds the aspect of the legend mattering more than the actual man etc, kinda like in Dune.

Someone get on the Batphone now and get James Cameron's cranky arse down on the set to save this. Cause no matter how good CB is ... and he is good, without a decent director this film is in trouble.

I just realised why that screenshot looked weird to me, its daytime! We never get to see the future in the daytime in terminator movies before.

apparently they're ignoring the third movie, and going off 1, 2, and the tv show, tying in with kyle reece and his brother

So many whinging fanboys over at IMDB are having a sad because McG is directing this. FFS, the movie isn't even out yet so what the f*** would they know.

I reckon it's gonna be a million times better than part 3 and I'm interested to see how it ties in with the tv series. Wish that would start up again because that was f***ing awesome.

McG makes Supernatural as well doesn't he? Thats a pretty cool show (well, I really like it), so I don't mind too much that hes doing this.

Also, that'd be freaking sweet if it goes off the tv show instead of the third movie, I like the story they're building up in the tv show far, far more.
