The Enemy Territory: Quake Wars blog has word of the impending v1.5 update, looking at all the new bells and whistles that'll be included. The full list is extensive, covering user interface improvments, new cvars for enhanced customisation, updates to the ranking and statistics system, improved bots, plus other minor tweaks and fixes.

Man, I am dying to play this game. I haven't touched it since the beta which I played non-stop almost the whole duration, but I just ran out of time to give it a go.

yeah, I think it was TF2 for me as well. Now that TF2 has been rogered, I might install ET-QW it and see how I go.

I also bought it and have clocked up a grand total of 4 hours, despite feeling it's a great game. Damn other things to do.

Indeed, between hidden, TF2, oblivion, TM nations and school etqw doesn't get much time from me. :(

It's a great game, though.

boba just pointed out I can get it now for $20 from gamesmarket which seems like a pretty sweet deal, except the shopping price is like 40-50% of the game. Anyone know anywhere else in Bris that would have it retail for that much?

hehe yeah...

I had a crack at Nat's Server Query to add et:qw support over my last hols but just never figured it out.

My copy of et:qw is running on Steam though, which complicates things beyond my ability I'm sad to say :(

JB Hi Fi here in Melb had it for around that much and the SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION!! (haha) for $40.

Edit: I don't know what's funnier actually, that there are almost more Limited Editions left than regular editions, or that JB is clearing them for $40 while EB still has them for $100!

Patch 1.4 wasn't too bad actually for its niggling issues (ranks not being displayed). I've been on this game since beta 1 and been loving it ever since. Does so much more for me than a game like tf2.

Cap cap multiplayer is so 1990's, objective story driven multiplayer is where its at:)

I don't know about you guys but I can never find a game with more than 3-6 people in the server.

When's the game a bit more populated?

Story driven multiplayer lol. f*** cares about story in MP? No one

Heres a good story - These red guys and blue guys don't like each other and they have been trying to kill each other and take over the other guys s*** for ages the end.

Yeh like I said, that was a good story in the 90's. If you still enjoy that sort of play then have fun with it.

Yea, i grabbed it off steam but it just didn't sit well with me. The only FPS games I enjoy that involve vehicles seem to be co-op (like joint ops or flashpoint).

There's been a pile of games with this style of gameplay, although QW in my opinion is probably the best I've come across in execution, lack of bugs, style etc. Then again, i'm always too lazy to use microphones and I'd rather just shoot people in the face than try to drop a chopper on their head so it's no wonder I prefer TF2 or dm gametypes to the modern vehicle/infantry combat hybrids popular today.

It is a little on the big side and might get MOGRIFIED , as soon I can figure out where sigs are kept

Also, I checked out JB on the weekend and ETQW is down to $29! boba said someone said it's at videopro for $20 though. Tempting.

I'd agree its objective driven, but not story.

It's got a story. I like reading the back story to every map.
