whenever the broncs played on sunday they would show that on channel 9 even if the main game was a dif game.

anyone know for sure if they have gone back to the old where main game is the MAIN GAME on a sunday.
all the tv guides i checked have tigers dragons game forecast but i never have faith in channel 9.

im a tigers supporter and i need to know if i need to track down the game of the round at the scg. or it is on 9 like it should be



p.s. i have fox but i found in the past you would miss the live game cause we are forced to watch the broncs run round in their unimaginative style of mash and bash football.

sleepy, Chan 9 Brisbane hasn't brought Broncos games off Fox for 2 years now (I think). The game being shown on Sunday is Tigers v Dragons.

Since the latest television deal which started last season they haven't televised broncos games unless they are the designated CHannel 9 games.

Why would they give up? RL television ratings s*** on all the other sports in NSW and QLD. Especially when channel 9 can't put a foot right anywhere else.

Last I knew, there was a lack of live coverage of NRL on Nine. And even then, when Nine delayed coverage, Foxtel were still blacked out from showing another game at the same time.

Then there's the case of coverage for a 'local' team - I've heard on many occasions that Broncos matches would preempt Cowboys matches, outside of Brisbane/Townsville.

Then there's poor old Melbourne, who suffers the most ignorance - virtually no fta coverage at all, and delayed Foxtel coverage.

On the other hand, AFL just about fall over themselves to ensure that the 5 FTA and 3 PayTV matches get put on live wherever possible.

Sad really. I had heard that one of the SoO matches last year was on 30 minute delay, too.
