For those interested, today at hardly normal tufnut and i had a bash at Fight Night Round 3 on the 360 on a wide screen tv, and i must say GOD DAMN it felt like i was really playing the next generation in gaming.

I was mainly blown away by the graphics and sound but there was some really nice concepts in there, like fighting in 1st person when being hit by a Flash K.O, medically treating the boxer in between rounds and psyching him up, slow motion knockouts after deforming the opponet's face and seeing ripples run through it while particles of spit, puss, and blood fly everywhere through the air. It really creates for a cinimatic experience and makes you feel like you're the one in pain. The level of detail on the face is amazing and you just know this boxer has had the living s*** beat through him when you see him breathing heavily with tears, cuts, snot, and swallen blue bits all over his face. A face that not even his own mamma could love anymore.

It's very easy to just pick up and play but button mashers will get their lights turned off against skilled players. Once you do get K.O'd you still have a chance of getting up again by trying to match whatever is left of your focus with these blurry circles floating around. Although everything will look really blurry and shakey and it doesn't help when your big black opponent is frowning down at you from above like you're his soon to be bitch.

I've never really been a fan of the boxing gaming genre and i've never played the previous fight nights but I enjoyed this one for the short time that i did played it. Generally speaking it's the type of graphics and sound effects that contribute to making the gameplay even more intense and an enjoyable experience.

The movement animation is much more realistic than round 2, but the new camera angle f***s me off a little bit. Its kinda up too close.

f***ing awesome series tho, really good gameplay

Plenty of white boys in there, mexicans too. But Ali is in there and he's got flare. Dont know about in game play but in the video it shows him dancing around his opponent and raising his right arm only to jab the guy in the f*** with his left. The harvey norman staff were all over this when we first saw it.
