This is all true and this is my story.

About October last year i had this dream/vision. Any way i was asleep one day and I had this dream where i woke up and i was lying on my back and lookin at the roof. I noticed it was still dark and there was a glow in my room like there was a light emmiting from my door. So I looked towards the door and i saw my door opened and i saw the Virgin Mary just outside the door. I was looking at her for about 2 seconds then my body felt really light and my body was shakin rapidly. It felt like i was my mid section of my body was being lifted and all the weight of my body was on my feet and my head, similar to how you see those gymnists arch their bodies with there belly in the air. The shaking sorta felt like an electic current flowing through me in an upward motion(NOT THAT I'D BEEN ELECTRICUTED B4). Another way i can sorta say it being similar to is when you get an adrenaline rush but it was lik 20 fold. I'm finding this very hard to explain. After this sensation which probably lasted 5 seconds i actually woke up for real. Sort of scared for a sec i looked over at the door and it was closed. Anyway i layed there thinkin about it for half an hour and then back to sleep.

The weeks past and I put the dream/vision down to that i woke up cos i got scared, being that the Virgin Mary was transparent and ghostlike. And i put the electricity sensation down to being that goosebump feeling you get when something scares the crap outa you.
I work night shift at a supermarket and used to finish @ 4am. I'd come home and have a few beers to try and knock me out to sleep better in the daylight. Meanwhile i'd be watchin what few shows the television stations broadcast at that hour. I got into a habit of watching Benny Hinn's "This is Your Day". For those of you who haven't seen this show it's a session of church basically, on TV. Benny Hinn also does these miracle crusades where he heals people. These are shown some days through the week. In about May i saw that he was coming to Brisbane Friday/Saturday the 25th and 26th. I decided i would go.

Saturday the 26th came and i arrived at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre at about 7:20pm and I was 20mins late. I arrived only to find out the whole centre was packed out and they were sending everyelse into what they called an overflow room. This was a huge indoor sporting room which consisted of about 6 or so basketball courts. They had heaps of chairs there for the overflow people and we were watchin Benny on these 2 very big TV screens. This particular event was what was called a miricle crusade. When the time of healling came he said it was time to heal and he told everyone that he knew cos he get this numbness in his hand. Benny said you too can feel this if you put your hands in the air. I put my hands in the air and withn seconds my hands were very very warm and i could feel heat emitting from may hands. The heat like if you put your hand over a toaster on a cool day. He said "do you's all feel it?" and then he said "touch" 3 times. Whenever he said touch I could feel an unseen force touching my palm. Similar to that of putting you hand over the hole of a subwoofer for your computer as the the bass pumps. There was one part of the night where he called all of the kids up to the stage from the section in front of him. He pointed at them and said "boom", all the kidds fell to the ground crying and rolling on the ground in some sort of dream state.

About a week later(30th of June?) I had been up for hours after work trying to finish reading the revelations on this page -> www.themiracleofstjoseph.org and i finally finished reading them and went to bed. Anyway i was asleep dreaming about somthing, I cant remember what though and out of the blue i got that electricity sensation again. I went back to sleep not long after my alarm went off and I had to get up to go to work. I was so tired after only about 4hours sleep I was laying inbed falling back sleep and thinking "i gotta get up"... "I gotta get up i'll be late for work" I was also thinkin "I shouldn't have stayed up reading those revelations for so long". Then all of a sudden i heard a cheerful and happy mans voice. He said "here we go...la di da di da". Then straight after that was siad i got the electricity sensation again and i was wide awake. It was like the man (Jesus? an angel?)knew what i was thinking and knew i was too tired to get up and he woke me up. I then got ready and went to work.

I'll say again all events took place and this is no bs. Thank you.

This electricity feeling does n e one know what it is??? blessing??? anointing???
Has anyone experienced this or know of someone who has. Anyone had similar dreams/visions or know of someone who has???

Did you ever see the special on late nite tv, where this dude had this mind control technique and used it to collect winnings at greyhound races when he clearly lost and such, and make this dude believe that he was getting socked in the stomach, (when he clearly wasnt) these miracal healers sound like that guy, but use the techniques to build themselves up to be a God like creature for their own big head. The "electricity" feeling is actually very normal, it happens to everyone every night, its just that they are usually unconscious by time it happens.

What you're feeling is your body shutting down and getting ready for sleep. But for some reason your mind is staying conscious while your body is falling asleep.

When your body falls asleep and your mind stays awake, the part of your brain that detirmines reality from dreams switches off, explaining the common hallucenations.

This is pretty common with people that have f***ed up sleeping patterns, i.e. you.

So dont get too worked up about it, its not a blessing from the gods, just a sleep disorder, I get it all the time aswell.

I beleive you. I was saved years ago when i was still a teenager. I am a reasonable person but i was flawed by the experience.

Benny Hinn is pretty awesome, but for true showmanship in the name of Jesus, try Benny Hill.

Sounds like hypnosis to me. I was always under the impression, only weak minded or weak willed people can be hypnotised

interesting story, what was the point of it? I don't think the dream had anything to do with anything because "Virgin Mary" isn't actualy an angle or any thing imporant. i mean technicaly she isn't even a virgin anymore. ;)

Well landing on your face tends to have a shock effect. And as far as your mind is concerned yor dream is real in fact you body can't move while dreaming so you don't injure yourself or wear yourself out. Some people find they can't move if they wake suddenly from a dream because their body is still paralised. With the waking thing I've had dreams where I've been falling (off a bicycle or bulding etc.) and just before I hit the payment I wake up with a nasty shock.

Yeah, thats pretty common aswell.

As for the electricty, well, its not actually electricity, it just feels like it. A very strong vibrating sensation. There isn't actually any official explanation, but it is just your body being shut down, and is the border between being awake and being asleep.

When you get that "being pulled out of your body" feeling and seeing the virgin mary, you are essentially just dreaming with your eyes open. The only reason you "see" the virgin mary is because you have religion on the mind. Back in the medieval ages, people used to see demons and things. Many people say they feel en evil presence, and see a dark figure coming closer and closer to them. It's all in your mind. If you are intereted google for "Sleep Paralysis" which is closely tied in with what you are experiencing.

its not the landing that wakes me up. its the feeling of falling, just the sudden "woop" that my stomach does, exept 20 or so times worse.

actualy come to think of it, i am probably in dream state, my body does this jolt thing and then my mind relates it to a real life situation where it happend before(ie the tripping)

Yeah, its as if your body jolts to compensate for the landing. Sometimes my entire body just does a huge convulsion and actually lifts my body off the bed. Quite a shock.

EDIT: This is different to the electricity feeling he is describing, the electricty is more of a humming or buzzing than a big jolt.

nah, now that i think of it, it happends just when i start falling.

I have a f***ed up sleeping pattern, staying up all night till the sun comes up then i wake at around 4:30pm in the afternoon. Sometimes when i'm going to sleep i'll thinking of something and something will happen, me fall over or what ever and my whole body jolts. Much like what that other guy in this thread said happens to him.

This is a well document minor sleep disorder. I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head, but its fairly common. You get the sensation of falling as your are trying to get to sleep and then your body reacts by jolting you out of your sleep. I get it now and again, most of the time during a daytime nap (god knows why).

I remember having a dream/vision while I was semi awake a few years ago. (no bulls***)

I was on a drawbridge and there was this weird looking daemon wielding a sword, I drew a picture or what it kind of looked like (its head was made up of 3 spikes, kind of like a praying mantis);

(This guy supposably had a 6 month coma where he claimed he was trapped in the depths of hell, when he awoke he started painting what he saw)

I forced myself to float for a bit then awoke in a room filled with Egyptian symbols and furniture. (crescent’s and hieroglyphs)

Then I was in pitch black, so I kinda forced myself to move to the left really fast and then I came out of some weird shaped hexagonal structure;

Which I was inside of, but there were many other dark "rooms" attached to the same structure so I kinda "flew" inside each of them and found that I could manipulate the surroundings once inside (create a sky, trees etc)

Then I was in space again, and I was hanging from a rip, and inside this rip was 3 old men with white beards in a room full of clocks staring at me, it was pretty freaky, I could even see the earth below.

So I woke myself up, and it was morning, I pretty much hallucinated for 5-6 hours, I was partially awake the whole time.

Holy crap, i know what you mean white wolf! you don't even trip, it's just a stumble and it jerks you awake. I also get the paralysis thing all the time.

Wierest dream I have (recurring) is floating above myself then drifting off, but instead of the roff being there its not, and as I drift up and away my room looks like a open cardboard box surrounded by nothingness... eventually it is just a pinhole in the darkness. I usually wake up then.

i have fallen, been shot, freaked out and bitten by dinosaur lookin thing and have woken up like yous guys but this is way different. I think everyone has shat themself in a dream and woken up.

Its a dream, your mind is probably just re-creating rooms and stuff you saw when you were awake and playing them back at you. I'd like to see an experiment where they put a person in a room, then go into the room next door and re-arrange everything, then put the person to sleep and have them magically astrally project into the room next door, then wake up and tell everyone what it looked like and where everything was.

The brain is stupidly complex, theres all sorts of stuff happening inside there that a lot of very smart people still dont have any idea about. People who talk about stuff like astral projection often throw around the "Dont be so closed minded" response when they get attacked. Well I say its these people who are the closed minded ones, so ready to ignore the brain's potential for causing strange things to happen and so ready to just claim its some otherworldly, magical phenomenon instead.

Also, as for stuff like that Benny Hinn story, its like someone said previously, not much more than mass hypnosis. Theres a term for it I can't remember, but basically by talking in certain ways and with certain tones in their voice they can influence the mind and make it think things are happening, etc. If you've ever read Snow Crash, the idea is touched on a bit there as well (albeit, taken a lot furthur than I'm suggesting, it is a sci-fi book after all). Tony Robbins uses a bit of the same thing in his talks to manipulate your mind and get you thinking in new ways, etc.

Not to belittle anyones faith, but I really doubt God is going to come down to some random televangelist's live show and touch people's hands. I'm sure if he exists then he has much better things to do with his time.
