The medium being used makes it look detailed. I don't think you could create the same effect with crayons ;)

Impressive. Now to add to this , the guy who host the "art Attack' show on Fox is pretty bloody talented this way as well.

I wathced him do a similar thing on a huge scale one day using just packets of salt. He drew this 5 metre x 5 metre picture of a scary castle, moonlight night and Dracula in B&W relief all on a black studio floor. The finished product was awesome.
