Do you guys honsetly think that this will make my postlimiter any different. i would wager that
1, admins don't read the admin email.
2, that it wouldn't make any difference anyway.
3, my post limiter wasn't going to be taken off regardless of this rant or not.

you guys missed the point of the thread. sure it would be nice to get my post limiter off. but i know a lot of people are in the same boat as me, and feel that the post limiters are much too much of an annoyence than any sort of punishment or an attempt to stop me from spamming the forums.

You said yourself you usually have multiple threads open and post in many of them. Say you have 6 open and post in 4 of them, then it takes 15-20mins for you to post in all of them instead of like 2 minutes.

Hence a lack of spammage.

The admins do read the emails. The post limiter is there for a very good reason and like seven said it is to stop people being idiots and spamming. I dont see how you can have several threads open and read every post and still not be able to post because of the limiter. Unless you read all the threads first then start posting... I can understand that some threads are small, but your post shouldn't take you 30 seconds to create.

Post limiters do nothing but actually stop decent posts, post in one thread then notice a 'need help/whatever' thread and you can't post in it or offer decent information in some other thread.
Meh, I couldn't care, it's that person asking for help that has to wait longer for it or I get over it and wait till someone else gives them the answer.

So yeah, in effect, post limiters don't do anything for stoping crap posts... like this one! :P

ok, its not like it affects me all the time, its just frustrating when i open up qgl after not being here for a while (doing whatever) open acouple of threads that interest me.. read one of them, have something to add "reply", read last couple of posts in the next thread (having read the other ones before it), have something to add "reply".. sorry you gotta wait for a while, i'll go chill out reading a nother thread while i wait. then post in the one before hand. posibbly think of posting in the next one etc etc etc.. it doesn't stop me from posting crap. it justs makes things more difficult.

Heres a tip for you, when you get to the page that tells you about the post limiter, leave it open in 5 minutes time just refresh it and it will post.

Sucks to be you, you can only post a maximum of 480 posts per day.

I just go on a spam spree & when the limit page appears I set opera to auto refresh it every X minutes & when the limiter's up it gets posted automagically, not that I see the limit page all that often anyway
